What are the basic rates per hour?
Artéma Recording Studio charges a basic rate of R250 per hour. NWU Students pay R200 per hour.


Are there any special packages?

  • We offer discount on our 5 day packages:

    • 5 day pack, 6 hours per day: R1200 per day
    • 5 day pack, 9 hours per day: R1800 per day
  • NWU students only pay R960 / R1440 per day, for the 5 day, 6 / 9 hours packages respectively


Any other services besides recording?
Artéma Recording Studio offers help with copyright, manufacture and design. We also create backtracks, do arrangements and music scores layouts. An online shop selling backtracks, sheet music, CD’s, books and articles will soon be launched.


Where is it located?
Artéma Recording Studio is situated on the NWU Potchefstroom Campus in the beautiful town of Potchefstroom, North-West Province, South Africa.


What about accommodation?
Artéma Recording Studio will help find you a guest house in Potchefstroom that will meet your requirements.


What equipment and software does the studio have?
Artéma Recording Studio uses, between others, Shure KSM and AKG 414 mics, a Yamaha M7CL Mixer and Cubase 5 for it’s sessions. The studio also owns a variety of virtual instruments.


Which artists have recorded at Artéma Studio?
Blacklight Theatre Project, Boulevard Harmonists, The Rottweillers, One Crown, Potchefstroom University Choir, The Heralds, Black Wolf

How do I get there?
Potchefstroom is accessible from all directions via road. It even boasts a small airport if you’d prefer to fly. A detailed map is provided under Contact.
